Message From the Principal

Manning Elementary School is dedicated to guaranteeing that all students receive a quality education. We have implemented several new programs this year that we are very excited about and that we feel will enhance the educational experience of our students. The theme for Manning Elementary School this year is "Dive into Learning". We expect all of our students to do just that to make this a great year. The faculty, staff, and students at MES are the best and we look forward to a wonderful year

                                                         Skate Night
The MES book club will sponsor a skate night on Thursday, January 12th from 5:00pm -7:00pm.  We need volunteers to help chaperone.  If you would be willing to chaperone, please contact Mrs. Morgan.  Thank you for your support.

The Wizard of OZ

The Students at Manning Elementary will be presenting the play the Wizard of OZ March 6, 2012. The audition will be held the third week in January. Parts will be given out the second week in January. Please encourage your student to audition.

Parents, we are now in the process of taking our MAPS test. These test allow us to better help your students improve in the areas of Reading, Math, and Language Arts.  Please encourage you student to do their best on of these test. Thank you for your support.

Manning Elementary School is a Title I School

Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act provides funds to state and local educational agencies in order to meet the needs of all children. The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities in order to ensure that each child succeeds in mastering the standards that are taught at each grade level as well as perform well on the state standardized tests.

FREE Tutoring for Eligible Students

Parents, your child may be eligible for FREE tutoring in math and reading through a national program called Supplemental Educational Services or SES.  Your child may qualify for extra academic help if he or she is eligible for free or reduced-price meals and attends grades 4-6 at Manning Elementary School.  Trained instructors will work with your child, and you can choose a tutoring provider that meets your child’s needs.  If you would like more information please call Brenda Clark at (803) 435-5066 or Marie Gibbons at 435-4435.

Mr. Tindal Awarded by NAACP for Educational Excellence


Superintendent John Tindal received the "Billie S. Fleming, Sr. Academic Excellence Award" for Continuous Educational Commitment & Service.  The award was presented by the Manning Branch NAACP.  Congratulations Mr. Tindal!!!
